Legends of Slots: a week with a tap-and-collect charmer

I went into Legends of Slots expecting to delete it within an hour. Tap-based collection games usually run out of ideas fast. But a week later it's still on my home screen, mostly because it never asks for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

The loop is straightforward. You tap to line up themed symbols, and clearing a set unlocks the next collection with new art. What kept me coming back was the small sense of progress. There's always one more theme just out of reach, and the animations when you complete a set are genuinely pleasant.

The best thing about Legends of Slots is restraint. It doesn't buzz at you constantly or drown you in menus. A session starts and ends cleanly, which is rare for this type of game.

If you want something deep, this isn't it, and I wouldn't pretend otherwise. But as a light thing to open while your dinner reheats, it does exactly what it sets out to do. My advice: play in short bursts rather than long sittings, because it's at its best as a palate cleanser.
